Gotmerchant.com is pleased to announce that we are now able to offer integrated credit card processing within the QuickBooks software program. Merchants now have a choice in processing companies and not left with only one company to choose from (Intuit). There are other solutions available that have been around for years, but you must export the data into QuickBooks. What we have is totally different. It is a plug-in that you download onto your computer and works the same way as if you had the processing done through Intuit. So now you have choices in processing companies, which means you win as there is now competition. We are providing this software FREE of charge as a courtesy when you choose to do business with Gotmerchant.com. You must be running QB version 2004 and later. 2010 compatibility isn’t available yet, but should be released soon. From the user standpoint, there is no difference if you use us to processor your cards vs Intuit. The difference would be the level of personal service you receive and the pricing. Please review our pricing on our web site and I’m sure you will see that we advertise much more competitive pricing than the competition.
Intuit®, the Intuit logo, and QuickBooks®, among others, are registered trademarks and/or service marks of Intuit Inc. in the United States and other countries. Gotmerchant.com is in no way affiliated with nor sponsored or endorsed by Intuit.

Some merchants are in need of some quick cash but are unable to obtain traditional loans. That is where cash advances come into play. The company advances the merchant a set amount based on future credit card receivables. The part that is new about this is AdvanceMe, Inc. has introduced a new iPhone app that allows business owners to learn more about the service and apply for it with their phone. This new application allows the company to expand its customer base by reaching the merchants that are always on the go. Their CEO stated that they understand that small business owners are very busy and have less time than ever to spend on a PC as they are trying to run their business. This new service allows them to take advantage of their product offers while meeting their needs for convenience and speed. Most merchants can now also sign up for a cash advance service through their credit card processing provider. Contact yours to find out if you qualify. AdvanceMe said the application is available for free from the Apple Store.

Do you currently use QuickBooks to run and manage your business while also using it to handle your credit card processing? I have great news. You have options besides using the company Intuit purchased for integrated credit card processing. There are thousands of merchants using Intuit directly for integrated processing, but you do have options that you may not be aware of. For example, we have a Quickbooks plugin that allows you to process the transactions in the same manner as if you were processing them with Inuit. There is a simple software program that you install on your computer that runs in the background. Nothing else changes. You still have the same screens, same steps, etc. The only thing that would be different, is you can use someone else as your merchant provider, such as our company. You can then receive the best pricing possible as there will be competition in the market. The best news is if you use us for your merchant account, we will provide this software plugin for FREE!

Every business should be offering gift cards, even if you are an ecommerce store. Take Zappos.com for example, they are offering gift cards. Gift cards is big business today. About 70% of consumers purchase gift cards. It allows them to give money to the recipient in a way that is perceived better by society, in the form of gift cards. Also, consumers seem to really like to give and receive gift cards. What would you rather receive, cold hard cash or a gift card to your favorite retailer? Ecommerce merchants shouldn’t over look this opportunity. Just because you do not have a store to walk into, doesn’t mean you can’t offer gift cards.
Your customer base is a great place to start to market the product. This includes all current and previous customers that have ordered from you. Most consumers like to spread the word about companies they really like and enjoy their products. Gift cards is one way to do that. If you are an ecommerce merchant, then you can get setup with gift card processing generally through your credit card processing company as many also provide this service to their merchants as they have partnered with a gift card company. It may be too late to consider this for this holiday season, but definitely look into it for next year.

Transfs.com has recently launched a free iPhone application. Transfs is a web site auction site for credit card processing services. The way it works is a merchant fills out a bid form and submits it. Then the processors TransFS has in its system evaluates the customer’s processing information, such as volume and makes a bid. Once the auction has ended, the merchant then selects the processor they want to do business with. The chosen processor is then given the merchant’s personal contact information to continue the setup process.
Transfs has now released an iPhone application that merchants can use to utilize their web site and their services. I find the whole concept of their service interesting as I have always had a difficult time explaining the Interchange plus pricing program to most merchants and that is what their entire service is about, Interchange plus pricing quotes. It is indeed the best pricing program for any merchant, but many cannot grasp the concept of it and many times still prefer the 3-tiered pricing model for it is easier to grasp and understand.

A Preferred Health Technology is being featured. It is an innovative A-Claim medical payment solution that allows health care providers to increase collections and reduce costs by verifying insurance eligibility. The process is easy. Patients swipe their insurance card at the time of service. The doctor receives a response in seconds that includes insurance eligibility verification with all major insurance companies. Once their eligibility has been verified, the doctor can perform the service. Once the service has been performed, the doctor then needs to take a form of payment from the customer for any applicable co-pays. Such payments could be a credit card or debit card payment. If the doctor doesn’t have this setup, they would need to contact a credit card processing company to have this ability. Once the payment has been approved, the doctor can update their records that all financial obligations have been paid. The doctor can also accept pin debit type transactions for more secure, chargeback proof transactions.
